The “Studio Gallery” at the 6th Street Playhouse, Santa Rosa, CA
The Wine Country Arts Council is a non-profit organization that strives to foster cultural enrichment and promote the arts in the local community. Originally based in Windsor, California, the Council is now open to all artists in Sonoma County and the surrounding communities.
The organization formed in the late 1990s as the Windsor Arts Council. It began as a social group for artists and grew into a membership-based organization with a gallery in Windsor. With the closure of the Windsor Gallery, the council expanded its boundaries to include the greater art community.
Most recently, the Wine Country Arts Council is proud to form a partnership with the 6th Street Playhouse to promote and showcase art in the newly created “Studio Gallery” at the 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa.
The new gallery offers a variety of shows, mostly juried, open to all mediums: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, photography, sculpture, installation, mixed and multi-media.
Our current board members: Pascal-Jean Druzgala, President; Catherine Daley, Art Coordinator; Carole Watanabe, Director of Arts and Education; Nancy Gray, Assistant-Director of Arts and Education; Viki Stockette, Secretary Treasurer; and Brent Gudzus, Social Media and Press.
